          Rollei announced its Powerflex 3D, a compact twin-lens 3D digital camera. The point-and-shoot 3D camera can capture 5 Megapixrl still images and 1280×720 HD videos at 30fps. It features a 2.8-inch LCD display and the Parallax barrier display technology, allowing users to see 3D images without 3D glasses.

                   The Powerflex 3D also offers 8x digital zoom and digital image stabilization. It has 2D and 3D mode and offers one-button switch. The 3D camera includes also HDMI output for showing 3D images on HDTV.


              
              Rollei also launches the Designline 3D digital photo frame with a 7-inch 16:9 display. The 3D digital frame not only displays 2D and 3D images but also plays MP3 with its built-in stereo speakers. 
         
             It’s lithium-ion battery offers up to 3 hours of use.  The Designline 3D provides touch operation and comes with a remote control.

Kenwood launches in Japan a new iPod/iPhone sound system, the CLX-70 with a stylish design that fits well in your home. The speaker works with all generations of iPhone and iPod. It features a CD player with support for MP3/WMA disc, 20Wx2 DTS Envelo Speaker with D-BASS and 3-dimension sound output , FM and AM radio tuner.

The Kenwood CLX-70 also has USB port and SD/SDHC card reader with support for direct playback of MP3 and WMA audio files. It is available in White, Black and Pink and will be released in January.














Asus S1-AT5NM10E Atom-powered Barebone PC

        Asus is launching a new Atom-powered barebone PC, the S1-AT5NM10E with dual-core Intel Atom D525 1.8Ghz processor and NVIDIA ION 2 graphics. The barebone supports up to 4GB of memory with two DDR3 RAM slots and has a 3.5-inch hard drive bay.


        Asus S1-AT5NM10E includes built-in support for Gigabit Ethernet LAN and WiFi connectivity. It has a 3-in-1 card reader, two USB 3.0 ports, and HDMI output. The S1-AT5NM10E Atom PC will be released soon.

AMD Radeon HD 6970 and Radeon HD 6950 graphics cards



               AMD announced its new Radeon HD 6900 series graphics cards, the company’s “most advanced enthusiast GPU ever”. Two cards are available, the Radeon HD 6970 and Radeon HD 6950, both feature AMD’s second-generation, DirectX 11-capable architecture to offer “The Ultimate Visual Experience”.


                  The AMD Radeon HD 6970 sports up to 880MHz engine clock, 2GB GDDR5 memory with 1375MHz Memory Clock (5.5 Gbps GDDR5). It offers 2.7 TFLOPs Single Precision compute power and 683 GFLOPs Double Precision compute power as well as up to 176 GB/s memory bandwidth. The HD 6950 is equipped with a 800MHz engine and 2GB memory with 1250MHz Memory Clock (5.0 Gbps GDDR5). It has 2.25 TFLOPs Single Precision compute power, 562.5 GFLOPs Double Precision compute power and 160 GB/s memory bandwidth. They both use PCI Express 2.1 x16 bus interface and provide DisplayPort 1.2, HDMI 1.4a, Dual-link DVI with HDCP and VGA outputs.


         The Radeon HD 6900 series features support for AMD Eyefinity multi-display technology, AMD PowerTune power tuning technology that automatically adjusts GPU power draw by dynamically controlling clock speeds, dual 8th generation tessellation units, and integrated audio controller.

LG Optimus 2X with Tegra 2 is the World’s First Dual-Core Smartphone

              LG officially announced the Optimus 2X , the world’s first dual-core smartphone, sporting a NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor running at 1GHz. With a dual-core processor, the Optimus 2X is going to offer faster, smoother web browsing and applications and lets users multitask with virtually no screen lag.

                 
                  LG Optimus 2X features a 4-inch WVGA 800×480 touchscreen and a 8 Megapixel rear camera with 1080p MPEG-4/H.264 playback, a 1.3 Megapixel front camera for video calling, 8GB internal storage. The phone, of course, supports also 1080p video playback and offers HDMI output. It has microSD card slot, micro USB port and 1500mAh battery.


LG Optimus 2X will be available in Korea in January 2010 and will be shipped with Android 2.2 Froyo and upgradeable to Android 2.3 Gingerbread.

Along with more powerful multimedia features, the LG Optimus 2X’s high-performance Tegra 2 processor makes for faster, smoother web browsing and applications and lets users multitask with virtually no screen lag.


“Dual-core technology is the next leap forward in mobile technology so this is no small achievement to be the first to offer a smartphone utilizing this technology,” said Dr. Jong-seok Park, CEO and President of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company. “With unique features such as HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) mirroring and exceptional graphics performance, the LG Optimus 2X is proof of LG’s commitment to high-end smartphones in 2011.”


Developed by graphics processor powerhouse NVIDIA?, the dual-core Tegra 2 system-on-a-chip found in the LG Optimus 2X runs at a clock speed of 1GHz and boasts low power consumption and high performance for playing video and audio. Users will experience faster web browsing and smoother gameplay compared with single-core processors running at the same speed as well as instantaneous touch response and seamless multitasking between applications.


The LG Optimus 2X offers 1080p HD video playback and recording with HDMI mirroring that expands content on external displays to full HD quality. The LG Optimus 2X can connect wirelessly to any DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance) compatible digital device such as HD TVs for a console-like gaming experience taking full advantage of the phone’s HDMI mirroring, accelerometer and gyro sensor.
