                Netgear introduces the D6300 WiFi modem router, which is the industry’s first ADSL2+ 802.11ac integrated router. Not just Gigabit Ethernet WAN port, the device also supports ADSL2+ for users to access ADSL/fiber/cable broadband. The modem router join Netgear’s other WiFi 802.11ac devices including the R8300 and R8200 WiFi-ac routers, and A6200 adapter. The D6300, with support for 802.11ac standard and dual-band WiFi, offers three time faster speed than 802.11n with combined WiFi speeds up to 1600Mbps. The high-speed performance enables HD video

               streaming and gaming throughout the home. With DLNA support, the router lets users stream media to DLNA-compatible devices such as HDTVs, Blu-ray players, gaming consoles. It features two USB ports and ReadySHARE Printer function that turns any existing USB printer to a networked printer and supports AirPrint for printing directly from Apple’s iPad and iPhone. The  ReadySHARE Cloud allows users to access and share USB storage device remotely.

                Netgear’s D6300 has for Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports, one Gigabit WAN port, one ADSL2+ port and two USB 2.0 ports. It supports WPA/WPA2-PSK security and double firewall (SPI and NAT) protection. The modem router has 128MB of RAM and 128MB of flash memory.

                        Looks like Full HD is not enough now and TV makers are now bringing 4K TVs. Here comes Sony’s BRAVIA XBR-84X900, a huge 84-inch 4K TV. Its 4K (3840 x 2160) LCD panel has four time the pixels of Full HD resolution, achieving 52ppi (pixels per inch) even on a large 84-inch high-resolution screen. Intended to deliver great viewing experience, the 84-inch TV is equipped with 4K X-Reality PRO picture engine with advanced upscaling technology to ensure that every frame looks clear and crisp, with a 4K resolution regardless of the content source.





                               
                              The 4K X-Reality PRO’s super-resolution processing power also enables high quality 3D viewing. The XBR-84X900 can upscales Blu-ray 3D Full-HD resolution 3D images to 4K (3840 x 2160) images and displays them on the polarizing sheet on the screen in 3840 pixels x 1080 pixels for the left and right eyes, respectively; then users can use the included 3D glasses to enjoy 3D videos on a large screen just like in a movie theater. The TV includes Motionflow, Dynamic Edge LED with local dimming as well.

To offer a full cinema-like experience with rich sound, Sony’s 84X900 comes equipped with a 10 Unit Live Speaker system which is optimized for large-sized screen, and features Clear Phase technology for reproduction of natural sound and S-Force Front Surround 3D technology to deliver virtual 5.1 surround sound. You can even remove the side speakers and use them with your existing audio system. The 4K TV includes full network connectivity, including built-in WiFi, allowing users to access online content such as movies, TV shows, music through the Sony Entertainment Network services.

Pioneer XW-SMA1, XW-SMA3 and XW-SMA4 Wireless Music Systems with AirPlay and HTC Connect

                       
                       Pioneer announced three new wireless music systems, the XW-SMA1, XW-SMA3 and XW-SMA4. All of them support Apple’s AirPlay, DLNA 1.5 and Pioneer’s own Wireless Direct wireless technologies that make wireless music streaming easy.


                      With AirPlay, these speakers can wirelessly stream music from iPhone/iPad/iPod touch and computers running iTunes; and support for HTC Connect enables them to stream audio from HTC One series smartphones. DLNA allows users to push music content from DLNA-compatible devices, including mobile devices and PC/Mac computers. Pionner’s SMA series speakers also feature Pioneer’s Wireless Direct technology, which allows the speaker to act as its own Wi-Fi wireless access point.

                      
                          
                       The XW-SMA1 and XW-SMA3 both sport dual 10w+10w amplifiers, dual 3-inch speakers and a 20mm soft dome tweeter, and uses a tuned bass reflex port to enhance bass response. The latter adds a rechargeable Lithium Ion battery that provides up to 6 hours of playback, and a tough exterior for added convenience and portability. The XW-SMA4 packs five speakers, including dual 3-inch midrange speakers, a dedicated 4-inch subwoofer and dual 3/4-inch soft dome tweeters; and triple 10w + 10w + 20w amplifiers.

                 The Galaxy S III is powered by a Samsung Exynos 1.4GHz quad-core processor and 1GB of RAM. It sports a 4.8-inch 1280×720 HD Super AMOLED (PenTile, however) touchscreen display, NFC support, AllShare DLNA, Bluetooth 4.0 (LE), GPS, and WiFi connectivity. It comes with 8 Megapixel auto focus camera with flash, Zero Shutter Lag, BSI sensor, 1080p Full HD video recording, and a 1.9 Megapixel front camera for video chat. Samsung also added burst shot, best photo, recording snapshot and HDR features to enhanced the camera. The handset is available in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB capacities, and supports microSD/SDHC up to 64GB.

                 The Galaxy S III runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with TouchWiz and Samsung’s own enhancements, including S Voice Music Hub, Game Hub, Video Hub. As a phone designed for humans, it recognize your face and voice. With front camera identifies your eyes, the phone maintains a bright display for continued viewing pleasure, when you are using your phone. The new Galaxy features S Voice, a Siri-like application, that listen and respond to your words.There is also Buddy Photo Share function that lets share photos with all your friends pictured in an image directly from the camera or the photo gallery; Direct Call that will call your friend when you are messaging someone as you lift the phone to your ear. It also includes the S Beam, which is an enhanced Android Beam, allowing a 1GB movie file to be shared within three minutes and a 10MB music file within two seconds by simply touching another GALAXY S III phone, even without WiFi or cellular signal.
              The Samsung Galaxy S III supports quad-band GSM/EDGE, quad-band 3G HSPA+ 21Mbps networks. There will also be 4G version for some markets. Samsung is going to ship the device from the end of May in Europe, then in other countries. It comes in Marble White and, instead of black, Pebble Blue.

              TRENDnet announced the TPL-405E, a new 500Mbps Powerline AV Adapter featuring four Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports. The 4-port Powerline adapter allows you to connect multiple network-ready devices such as HDTV, gaming consoles, media players to your home network easily using existing electrical lines, and with support for up to 500Mbps and Gigabit ports, you can stream HD videos files directly from the Internet or home network, and share large files at faster transfer rate.



                   The TRENDnet TPL-405E is HomePlug certified and compliant with IEEE1901 and HomePlug AV standards. The adapter connects to other TRENDnet Powerline AV adapters automatically and users can press the one-touch Sync button to change existing encryption keys. It has four 10/100/1000Mbps Auto-MDIX Gigabit ports and three LED indicators. The TPL-405E supports advanced 128-bit AES encryption to ensure total network security and its Power Save mode reduces power consumption by 80%.





InFocus IN122 and IN124 DLP Projectors

     
                   InFocus launches its IN122 and IN124 projectors, both based on DLP display technology and feature BrilliantColor for vivid color reproduction. The IN122 features 800×600 resolution and the IN124 delivers 1024×768. They have 3000:1 contrast ratio and up to 3000 lumens brightness.


                     The IN122 and IN124 both have compact and lightweight design and are budget-friendly. They support 3D and provides HDMI 1.4, VGA, S-video, composite inputs as well as USB mini B and RS232 control ports. The InFocus IN122 and IN124 are priced at $429 and $499 respectively.



Synology DiskStation DS412+ and DS112 NAS Servers

                              Synology introduces two new DiskStation NAS servers, the 4-bay DS412+ for small and medium businesses and the all-in-one 1-bay DS112 for office and workgroup environment. Both servers include SuperSpeed USB 3.0 for faster transfer speeds. They come with DiskStation Manager 4.0 and supports cross-platform file sharing, including mobile devices.

                     The DS412+ is powered by a 2.13GHz dual-core processor and 1GB of RAM. It can provide a maximum performance of 205.68 MB/s read and 182.66 MB/s write under RAID 5 configuration with Link Aggregation enabled. For enhanced reliability and high dependability with continuous service uptime, the server incorporates passive CPU cooling technology and built-in redundancy mechanism with two 92 mm system fans to prevent single point of failure. It has 2 LAN ports with failover support for high data availability. With hot-swappable drive design, the DS412+ supports up to four 3.5-inch/2.5-inch SATA II hard drives offering up to 16TB of capacity and supports Hybrid RAID, Basic, JBOD, RAID 0, RAID 1, RAID 5, RAID 5+Spare, RAID 6, RAID 10 settings. It supports Windows ADS and ACL and is compliant with VMWare, Citrix, Microsoft Hyper V virtualization environments. 


 DiskStation DS412+

                           The one-bay DiskStation DS112, on the other hand, boasts a 1.6GHz CPU and 256 RAM. It comes with a new enclosure design and is equipped with two additional side ventilation openings and a 60 mm rear fan that enhance the overall airflow to keep the system running cool while minimizing the noise level to 18.4 dB(A). It delivers an average 109.42 MB/s reading and 70 MB/s writing speeds in a Windows environment.

                       Both DS412+ and DS112 can be used as DLNA/UPnP Media Server, iTunes server, Surveillance Station, Download station, print server, as well as web server and FTP server. Of course, they can also used for backup with support for Time Machine.

Nokia 808 PureView Smartphone with 41 Megapixel Camera

                       Nokia announced at the MWC 2012 the Nokia 808 PureView smartphone equipped with an ultra high resolution image sensor. As the first phone to feature PureView Pro technology, the 808 packs a 41 Megapixel image sensor, Carl Zeiss F2.4 optics and the PureView oversampling technology that distil 7 pixels into 1 for stunningly sharp and clear 5 Megapixel photos. For the best image performance, the phone also comes with auto focus and touch focus, Xenon flash with up to 3.5 meter opearing range, face detection, scene modes. It is able to capture Full HD 1080p video at 30fps and there is integrated video editor.


                     The Nokia 808 PureView runs the Symbian Belle operating. It features a 4-inch 640×360 AMOLED ClearBlack touchscreen with Gorilla Glass, Bluetooth 3.0, WiFi, GPS/AGPS support, DLNA and HDMI output. You can also find built-in FM radio and Dolby Headphones technology that transform stereo content into a personal surround sound experience over any headphones and Dolby Digital Plus for 5.1 channel surround sound playback. The 808 supports quad-band GSM and WCDMA/HSPA 14.4Mbps mobile networks.

Apple announced the new iPad – A5X Chip, Retina Display and LTE 4G



                    Finally, Apple officially announced the new iPad that packs a new powerful CPU, a new ultra high resolution display and support for 4G mobile network. While keeping the screen size at 9.7-inch, the new iPad gets a Retina Display with 2048×1536 ultra high resolution IPS multitouch touchscreen with 264ppi pixel density. It is powered by a dual-core Apple A5X SoC with quad-core graphics for enhance processing power and speed. The device will be loaded with the latest iOS 5.1.

                  The new iPad features a 5 Megapixel iSight camera with auto focus, IR filter, video stabilization, face detection and geotagging. The camera can record Full HD 1080p video at 30fps. The third generation iPad comes in WiFi-only model and WiFi+4G model. The latter supports LTE 700/2100MHz 4G network as well as quad-band UTMS 3G, HSPA+ and DC-HSDPA and quad-band GSM/EDGE networks. There is also a world-ready/Verizon model that adds support for CDMA EVDO Rev.A 3G network. The tablet also sports Bluetooth 4.0 with Bluetooth Smart, digital compass, Accelerometer, gyroscope. The WiFi+4G model includes also GPS/AGPS as well.

                  Apple’s new iPad is capable of Full HD recording and Full HD video playback and is able to streaming Full HD video to the new Apple TV 3 gen using AirPlay, and 720p AirPlay Mirroring. It comes with a built-in 42.5-watt-hour rechargeable lithium-polymer battery that provides up to 10 hours of web surfing on WiFi. Apple will ship the new iPad on 16 March in the US, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Puerto Rico, Singapore, Switzerland, UK and the US Virgin Islands, and is now accepting pre-orders. The new iPad comes in black and white.

 

Canon PIXMA MX892 Wireless All-in-One Printer with AirPrint



                  Canon adds to its PIXMA line a new office wireless all-in-one printer, the PIXMA MX892 with built-in support for Apple’s AirPrint wireless printing. The new PIXMA Office printer features WiFi 802.11n wireless capability, allowing wireless connection with computer and easy sharing on a network, and there is WiFi Protected Setup (WPS) button for easy setup. With AirPrint support, you can print photos, email, webpages and documents from iPad, iPhone and ipod touch easily and wirelessly.

                  The MX892, like most PIXMA printers, uses the ChromaLife 100+ system with five individual ink tanks and delivers a maximum color resolution of 9600x2400dpi. It features 12.5 images per minute (ipm) for black and white documents and 9.2ipm for color print speed and is able to produce a 4×6-inch borderless photo in about 20 seconds.


                      As an all-in-one printer, the MX892 does also scanning and it offers a 2400 x 4800 dpi resolution to help ensure the duplicate copy will be equivalent to the original. The PIXMA Office AIO printer features Auto Duplex printing and comes with Advanced Media Handling capabilities such as a 35 sheet Duplex Auto Document Feeder that allows for quick two-sided copying and scanning. There is also two paper feeds which can hold a maximum of 150 sheets of plain paper each.


                        The PIXMA MX892 has a 3-inch LCD display for simple computer-free printing. It features Full HD Movie Print function that allows you to print photos from HD movie captured with compatible EOS DSLR or PowerShot cameras. The printer allows users to print materials through utilities such as Google Cloud Print and PIXMA Cloud Link. Using the Canon Easy-PhotoPrint mobile app, users can not only print documents from iOS Android devices, but also get scanned documents from the printer. Users can also use the Easy-PhotoPrint EX software for customizing photos for printing.
