Communication Gadget Concept

Communication Gadget Concept

Presenting a concept gadget for communication so cool it is only known as the Communication Gadget. As you can see, that metal tube has some “pop-out” feet and can project a keyboard and some textual display there. I am assuming that there is some sort of sensor to detect the fingers tapping for input.

This isn’t the first time that I have seen a device with a projected keyboard before with sensors, but this one can directly to an ICQ server.

The text above this keyboard must be just text, and I don’t see any possibility of it doing any more advanced graphics than this. After all, it only has a red laser thing going on. I think that we all know that this is where computers and mobiles are headed. That is, a projector that can make a keyboard and display and make any wall, tabletop, floor, or ceiling into a PC.

You know what it reminds me of? One of those old pneumatic tubes back in the day. I don’t think anyone uses those any more, but my bank’s drive-thru still has them. This also reminds me of the LuminAR robotic desk lamp that MIT student Nathan Linder created the other day, presumably in his spare time.

mobile battery charger

this is one of most useful device that we got our hands on with this baby hanging on your bag in your pockets, you will never ever run out of battery on your cell phone all you need to do is put in standard AA battery (PENCIL CELL) and it'll charge up your phone. it has connects for Nokia (both thin pin and fat pin) Sony Ericsson and MiniUSB.
if you run out of battery on the crucial call simply head over to nearest store and pop in pencil cell. if you're going on a long expedition to the himalayas carry a few pencil cells and use as per your convenience.

Anti Gravity Globe

Anti Gravity Globe

The Levitron Anti Gravity Globe, is both, a great display piece and a toy for
children. Microchip controlled electromagnets levitate a slowly revolving
globe above an anti-gravity base. There are no anti-gravity waves involved,
but the resulting effect is stunning nonetheless. Unfortunately, the countries
and the continents are labelled, spoiling the effect a bit.

MiShare

MiShare

Trust the Chinese to come up with something like this.
The miShare is a simple device that transfers data betweentwo iPods.
Pretty useful for those situations where you want to swap songs
without having to use a computer as an intermediary...
which you cannot (officially) do anyway when it comes to iPods.
but we wish the Chinese would come up with something
like this for our portable hard disks.

Bajca Smile Keypad

Bajca Smile Keypad

The Bajca Smile Keypad is for instant messenger junkies who just
can’t do with their emoticons. Instead of having to press a series

the press of a single key. The device interfaces with the computer
using a USB drive. The keys themselves are detachable, and can
be strung into jewellery.

The Peregrine

The Peregrine

The Peregrine is an input devices shaped like a glove. No, it’s not
meant to your hands warm but you can actually use it in games of
all sorts. There are 30 touch points all over the glove that can be
configured to allow 30 different gestures. When your hands get
sweaty, there are pockets to let air circulate. And for the times when
you soil the gloves, you can easily wash it with water after you’ve
disconnected the fancy connector pod.

Optoma Pico

Optoma Pico

The Optoma Pico is one of the smallest
projectors available. Manufactured to be used
with an iPod, the projector can also be used with
an iPhone. The Pico is very light, weighing in at
just 120 grams. The pico can project a 480x320
resolution image on almost any surface, between
8 inches and 8 feet away. The projection is pretty
bright for such a small device (9 lumens, if you
need to know) but the device will burn out after
20,000 hours of usage.

Duncan Wilson Otto

Duncan Wilson Otto

No, these are not your regular run of the mill speakers. In fact,
these are not any kind of gadget that you have ever heard of.
The world around you is full of very slight, almost imperceptible
sounds. Your desk, your glass of water, even your walls, all produce
very slight vibrations, that you could not hear - till now. The Otto
can attach itself to almost any surface using a combination of
magnets and vacuum pads, and amplify the slightest sounds
emanating from that source. Thinking of getting one? Dream on,
these are made but not on the markets

EVDO

Saturday, January 2, 2010

 EVDO

EVOLUTION Data Optimized or EVDO is a telecommunication standard for wireless
transmission of data using radio signals mainly for broadband Internet access. EVDO
standards follow the 3G protocol and uses CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) for
quick data transfer of 500 to 1000 kilobits per second. EVDO is not compatible with GSM
networks. EVDO can be used to allow multiple devices within a limited area to access
high speed Internet.
EVDO is an evolution of the CDMA2000 standard which allows high speed data
transfer alongside the wireless service provider's voice transmission services. EDVO
is similar to CDMA2000 in terms of its bandwidth size of 1.25MHz, but its channel
structure is quite diff erent.
The backend system of EVDO works on a packet based system and hence is
not held back by restrictions of a circuit based network. However, the
EVDO standard faces a lot of competition. Motorola proposed
1Xtreme, a standard which was dubbed as an evolved
version of EVDO.
This was however later rejected by the 3G
standardization body. A host of other companies like
Qualcomm, Nokia, Lucent and a few others devised
a new standard called EVDV or Evolution Data and
Voice. This new standard was backward compatible
and did not require an overlay network when used in
mixed mode.

an Accelerometer

An accelerometer is a device that
can measure acceleration forces. For
example, one can find out the angle of
a particular device with respect to its
placement with an accelerometer. This
is done by measuring the amount of
static acceleration due to gravitational
force. The accelerometer that is
embedded in a cell phone senses
motion and detects acceleration
forces. This is how the phone is
controlled. The accelerometer used in
the iPhone and iPhone 3G rotates the
display's orientation to either portrait
or landscape. This motion sensor is also
used for gaming purposes wherein an
object can be moved and controlled
by simply tilting the phone in various
directions. Besides gaming, phones
also use accelerometers to perform
simple tasks like switching between
applications and songs by just a small
flick of the phone. Some other phones
that use the accelerometer for
gaming and other applications include
the Sony Ericsson W760i and K850i and
Nokia's N96.

Bluetooth laser.virtual keyboard

No, this is not another email forward or any kind of prank gadget. A laser
projected keyboard is really here. The device projects a laser keyboard
on any flat surface, and you can then use it like a normal keyboard. Every
keystroke is even accompanied by the sound of a key-hit as in a traditional
keyboard. Available from thinkgeek.com for $150 (Rs. 7,752).
