Toshiba Thrive Android 3.0 Tablet Coming in July

 

                              Toshiba is going to release its Thrive Android tablet in the US market in July. The Thrive is basically the US version of the company’s Regza Tablet announced for Japan two month before. It is powered by Tefra 2 dual core processor that can handle Full HD 1080p video playback and runs Android 3.1 Honeycomb tablet-friendly OS.

                
                                 Toshiba’s Thrive features a 10.1-inch 1280×800 capacitive touchscreen, a 5 Megapixel main camera, a 2 Megapixel front camera for video chat and HDMI output. It supports Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity and provides USB connector and SD card slot. It comes with 8GB, 16GB or 32GB storage. Running Android Honeycomb, the Thrive comes with the Swype keyboard pre-installed for easy typing.

The Toshiba Thrive will be released in July in US for $429 for 8GBG, $479 for 16GB and $579 for 32GB.

Toshiba CELL REGZA 55X2, 55XE2 and 46XE2 LED-backlit HDTVs are 3D Capable

                         Toshiba introduces the second generation CELL REGZA LED-backlit LCD HDTVs. Three models are announced, the 55-inch 55X2 with dynamic LED-backlit and the slim 55-inch 55XE2 and 46-inch 46XE2 that use Edge-LED backlight.These CELL REGZA TVs fetures 1920x1080p Full HD resolution and includes the Cell processor for enhanced image quality. The flagship 55X2 features up to 9,000,000:1 contrast ratio, 1000cd/m2 brightness while the slimmer 55XE2 and 46XE2 has 4,000,000:1 contrast. Thanks to the CELL processor and the CELL 3D technology, these HDTVs support 2D-to-3D conversion.

                   Toshiba’s new CELL REGZA models have built-in digital tuner and 3TB hard drive for video recording. They offer HDMI, USB port and DLNA support and are internet-ready. All three models will be released in October.

                Toshiba introduces the MBF2xxLRC series 2.5-inch SAS hard drive mounted in a 3.5-inch bracket that eases migration to small form factor enterprise-class drive for IT departments and enables the small form factor drives to be used in legacy 3.5-inch servers and storage enclosures.

                        Toshiba introduces its new Satellite L600 series notebook line, which includes four model clasess, the highly-mobile Satellite L635 with 13-inch display, the lightweight Satellite L645 with a 14-inch diagonal display, the versatile Satellite L655 with a 15.6-inch diagonal display and the Satellite L675 desktop replacement with a 17.3-inch diagonal display.


                         These Satellite notebooks are powered by a wide range of Intel and AMD processors, including Intel Core i3/i5 and AMD Athlon II, Turon II, Phenom II processors. They have up to 4GB of RAM and 250GB-500GB hard drive. Also included are LED-backlit display, webcam, DVD drive and WiFi connectivity.
