Dell announced its new Alienware X51 gaming desktop with a smaller chassis design that fits virtually any space, offering the flexibility to turn nearly any living space, from the living room to the dorm room, into an entertainment and gaming mecca. It is designed to deliver 1080p HD and 3D gaming experience. The dual-orientation tower measures H343mm x W95mm) x D318mm.
The X51 uses Mini-ITX mainboard with Intel H61 Express Chipset and is powered by 2nd generation Intel Core i3/i5/i7 processor, up to 8GB of DDR3 and either 1GB NVIDIA GeForce GT 545 or 1GB GeForce GTX555 dedicated graphics card for intense gaming performance. The desktop packs a 1TB 7200RPM hard drive and a slot-loading DVD burner or optional Blu-ray Disc drive. Gigabit 10/100/1000Mbps Ethernet LAN port and WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n are available for network connection. HDMI 1.4 is available for connecting to a HDTV/3D TV and watching HD videos.
Other features include internal High-Definition 7.1 performance audio with Waves MAXX Audio Software, six USB 2.0 ports, two USB 3.0 ports, SPDIF Digital Output (TOSLINK); SPDIF Digital Output (Coax), Headphone/Speaker Out.
